Nicole graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2004. She began her legal career at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, where she tried misdemeanor and felony cases and conducted evidentiary hearings and grand jury presentations.

Her family’s life changed in 2011, after her son was born with a devastating form of pediatric epilepsy. After two years and multiple brain surgeries, her son’s seizures were brought under control, but he was left with several physical and cognitive impairments. Nicole then became her son’s educational advocate, bringing her skills as a negotiator and litigator to ensure that he was provided with the appropriate educational supports and services he required to learn and succeed.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Susan Deedy, she devoted herself as a solo practitioner to special education advocacy for families in similar situations. Currently, as an associate within the firm, Nicole continues to represent families of students with a range of disabilities throughout New York State. She represents families at Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, impartial hearings, manifestation determination meetings and superintendent's suspension hearings.

In 2018, Nicole led a group of parents to charter a new special education parent teacher association (SEPTA) in her local school district and served as its first president. Since 2020, Nicole has served as a school board trustee. She is also an active member of her local Kiwanis club and serves on its board of directors.

When she’s not working, Nicole treasures the time she spends with her husband and three children.
